How a startup to receive grants up to $85,000: online course from the Ukrainian Startup Fund

The Ukrainian Startup Fund jointly with the online platform CASES has created a free online course for startups Grants of the Ukrainian Startup Fund“. The purpose of the course is to tell startups about the opportunities provided by the Fund, to help them prepare for pitching as best they can, as well as to maximize their chances of obtaining funding.

The Ukrainian Startup Fund became the first national system grantor for startups and businesses in the early stages of its development. To form an attractive investment image, it is important for startups to master the skills of attracting investment and presenting ideas. We feel the need to help young teams as much as possible in implementing innovative initiatives and building potentially successful global businesses. We are launching this course because we want to teach startups to present themselves not only to experts, the Fund’s Selection Commission, investors but also to the whole world”, commented Pavlo Kartashov, Director of the Ukrainian Startup Fund.

The course covers topics related to the Fund’s grants, the process of interaction between the startup and the Fund, the preparation for the pitch, as well as the features of signing a grant agreement and financial reporting on the grant.

In addition to purely aspects of interaction with the Fund, the course includes a list of useful literature for startups, examples of successful pitches, and recommendations for preparing a presentation for investors. So even if you plan to develop your own startup, the course will be useful to you, even if for some reason you do not plan to apply purely for a grant from the Startup Fund.

We are happy to be a partner of the Ukrainian Startup Fund in creating this project. We know the pain and challenges of a young startup firsthand. We face them every week. So we have managed to approach this course with the understanding of both parties – the startup and the Fund. And such a unique position, I hope, will allow Ukrainian startups to more effectively and meaningfully prepare for the pitching of their idea “, – adds Anatoliy Popel, founder and head of the CASES platform.

The course will be available for completion from July 5, 2021, on the online platform CASES. Pre-registration for the course is already available at this link
