USF congratulates the winners of the National Startup Competition Ukraine 2021
Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF) congratulates the winners of the «National Startup Competitions Ukraine 2021» – Elomia and S.lab, who will represent Ukraine at the University Startup World Cup in China in November this year.
The final of the 6th annual All-Ukrainian competition for innovative startups “National Startup Competition Ukraine” took place on September 2, 2021. More than 100 qualified applications from more than 30 higher education institutions of Ukraine were submitted to the competition. The teams presented innovative solutions for today’s global world.
This year USF was one of the partners of the National Startup Competitions Ukraine: the fund’s experts were part of the competition jury and evaluated startups in 4 categories – innovative product, digital solution, green technologies, health.
The winners of the competition were two startups at the same time:
- Elomia. A mobile application with artificial intelligence, which can provide the user with psychological assistance at any time (team of NTU “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”).
- S.lab. Biodegradable mycomomaterial (“mushroom tissue”) as an alternative to plastic in the packaging (team of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University).
In addition, the contestants received many benefits, including access to Digital Bootcamp, feedback from business professionals, national and international evaluation by the jury, and the opportunity to be part of a network of like-minded entrepreneurs.
During the award ceremony, the director of the USF Pavlo Kartashov presented the winners in the category “Innovative Product” – MPBoard (a keyboard glove designed to help hospitals communicate with patients).

You have declared yourself at the national level, become better, and will develop further because each of you has great potential, faith in your own idea, and a passionate desire to move forward. The two winners of the competition will represent their startup, university, and country at the University Startup World Cup – this is a great chance to tell the world about yourself.
