The Ukrainian Startup Fund together with the EIT RawMaterials launch the First Ukrainian Hackathon with a focus on mineral and metallurgical processes for sustainable development – Raw Materials Hackathon: Change4Future!
The aim of the Change4Future Hackathon is to find innovative solutions in the field of sustainable raw materials supply by combining: Innovation, Education, Entrepreneurship.
As part of the event, participants can expect workshops and panel discussions from industry leaders, mentoring sessions, intensive group sessions with team mentors to work on challenges and a prize pool.
Startups, scientists and young scientists, PhD students and students are invited to participate in the Change4Future Hackathon.
The hackathon is aimed at the search for technologies and solutions within 5 challenges:
- Improved and new mineral exploration;
- More efficient, responsible and sustainable modern mining;
- Mineral and metal processing and for improved materials production;
- Optimization of the mining and production processes of metals and minerals (increasing process efficiency, using less energy and water, reducing costs and waste generation);
- Alternative materials for the pipes.
The Hackathon is a unique environment for jointly stimulating innovation by bringing together businesses with scientists, startups, innovators and access to capital.
Winners of the Hackathon in every challenge will receive Certificates of participation from the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) and unique prizes from the partners: grants from the Geological Investment Group, credits from Amazon Web Services, working places, pilots’ opportunities in key companies from the industry and many others.
