Ukrainian Startup Fund and UKROBORONPROM begin cooperation

Pavlo Kartashov, Director of the Ukrainian Startup Fund, together with Yuriy Gusev, General Director of Ukroboronprom, signed a memorandum of partnership. The signing took place during the Forum of Innovative Productions, which took place in Bila Tserkva.
“Partnership with a strategic player of the Ukrainian defense industry opens up completely new prospects and opportunities for collaborations, so expect interesting and even unexpected announcements in the near future,” commented Pavlo Kartashov on signing the memorandum.
The purpose of the memorandum is to establish strategic cooperation, as well as to identify ways of mutual support, including the organization of activities aimed at implementing optimal solutions for the development of startup ecosystems in Ukraine. Participation in joint projects, events, and meetings, etc. is currently planned.

The Ukrainian Startup Fund is a state fund launched on the initiative of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The mission of the fund is to promote the creation and development of technological startups in the early stages (pre-seed and seed), in order to increase their global competitiveness. The process of selecting startups for grants takes place on a competitive basis: companies are evaluated and elected by the board of independent investment experts.
The state concern Ukroboronprom (Ukrainian Defence Industry) is a strategic manufacturer of armaments and military equipment in Ukraine. The concern unites state unitary enterprises, including state-owned enterprises, in the strategic branches of the state’s defense industry, which employ about 67,000 highly qualified workers.
