Ukrainian Startup Fund and MHP begin cooperation

August 2, 2021

Pavlo Kartashov, Director of the Ukrainian Startup Fund, and Mykola Takzey, Director of the MHP Innovation Department, signed a memorandum of partnership.

I hope that MHP will become a reliable partner of the Fund and will serve as a convenient and effective platform for startups to implement their pilot projects, and in the near future MHP already as a potential investor will consider these startups“,  said Pavlo Kartashov, director of the Ukrainian Startup Fund.

The memorandum formalizes the intentions of the parties to cooperate for exchanges of information on best practices for building a startup ecosystem. It was also agreed to facilitate the transfer of relevant knowledge and skills through participation in joint projects, events, meetings.

MHP will be able to interact with a number of startups, whose activities will help solve production issues, as well as provide an opportunity to find new technologies for the development of MHP’s business. In turn, the Ukrainian Startup Fund will have access to experts and mentors from MHP, who will help startups to validate their hypotheses or business models, as well as receive platforms in MHP, where they can test their solutions.

We follow the examples of world practice when a large corporation wants and seeks ways to cooperate with startups. I am sure that it is extremely useful for us, for our transformation from raw material to a culinary company, and I hope that our cooperation will help the innovative ecosystem of our country to develop, enrich, create and leave even more startups in Ukraine“, said Mykola Takzey, director of the MHP Innovation Department.

NOTE

The mission of the fund is to promote the creation and development of technological startups in the early stages (pre-seed and seed), in order to increase their global competitiveness. The process of selecting startups for grants takes place on a competitive basis: companies are evaluated and elected by the board of independent investment experts.

MHP is one of the leading agro-industrial companies in Ukraine, with production assets in the Netherlands, Slovenia, Slovakia, and a distribution office in the UAE. The company’s products are presented in 80 countries.
