USF and KNEU have started cooperation for research and development of the startup ecosystem of Ukraine

The Ukrainian Startup Fund and the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (KNEU) will cooperate for the research and development of the startup ecosystem of Ukraine.

The relevant Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation was signed today by Pavlo Kartashov, Director of the Ukrainian Startup Fund, and Dmytro Lukyanenko, Rector of KNEU.

The Memorandum provides for cooperation in conducting a comprehensive study of the current state of development of the Ukrainian startup ecosystem, the Fund’s impact on its development, major challenges, problems and future prospects for its operation, resulting in a map of the Ukrainian startup ecosystem.

“We support the startup movement of KNEU students. It is nice that there are many talented people among your students with bold ideas and non-standard solutions. It is very important for us to support innovative youth projects – it can be both financial assistance in the form of grants and mentoring, participation in acceleration programs, involvement in the startup community and the whole ecosystem, where talented young people can gain necessary and useful knowledge, skills and contacts to develop your startups. I am convinced that our partnership is another step in uniting the Ukrainian startup ecosystem and synchronizing efforts for its development”, said Pavlo Kartashov, Director of the USF.

According to the rector of KNEU Dmytro Lukyanenko, the university pays great attention to the formation of a unique ecosystem of entrepreneurship education, offering students a number of entrepreneurship courses. KNEU Entrepreneurship Center is already operating, coordinating a number of business events, as well as a competition of student business ideas – IDEAFEST, where the winners receive funding for development / testing of their business ideas.
