On the second day of CES 2024, the Ukrainian delegation held a separate event for members of the Ukrainian tech community in the United States, representatives of the EU delegation, and investment funds and companies from the US, EU, and Japan. The event was supported by USAID CEP and Necessity Ventures to strengthen ties between Ukraine and the global technology community. The main objectives of the event were to present the Ukrainian tech ecosystem, review the current situation in Ukraine, share plans and achievements, establish new partnerships with investors and US tech professionals, and create business opportunities for the Ukrainian startups.

Also during CES 2024, the Ukrainian Startup Fund and UVCA, as organizers of the Ukrainian trade mission, together with Dmytro Kushneruk, Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco, took part in a discussion organized by the European Innovation Council. The discussion focused on the initiative to present European innovators in a joint exhibition pavilion at CES in 2025-2026, as well as the possibility of strengthening European potential with innovations from Ukrainian tech startups.

Among the positive news for startups represented by the Ukrainian Trade Mission at CES 2024 are future collaborations and funding opportunities:

CheckEye received a preliminary agreement on joint testing with LG Nova. LG’s innovation department has shown potential interest in the technology and will discuss future tests after the show. In addition, there are several potential pilots in the partnership.

After the startup’s presentation at the Japanese pavilion, Deus Robotics received several potential customers who requested a detailed analysis of the solution and expressed interest in possible investments.

Valeriy Yakovenko, the founder of FarmFleet, became a star in the Tech Podcasts Network, the main media resource of the Consumer Technology Association, the producers of CES. The recording is expected in the near future.

FarmHub contacted a Korean company that supplies smart devices to farms. They are interested in devices and CRM. An agreement on future cooperation was signed. Among other personal victories of the startup at CES, the founders found contacts of large farmers who would be interested in FarmHub’s solution (USA, Israel, Turkey, Zimbabwe, China). The startup also found manufacturers of long-term batteries that could extend the life of the startup’s devices, a potential distribution channel in the United States, contacts in patenting, logistics, law, contacts of potential investors, and names of important agricultural events that innovators need to attend in the future.

The four-day trip to CES 2024 was a great success for the Ukrainian delegation, providing opportunities for potential collaborations between Ukrainian innovators and global leaders!
