Results of the UKRAINIAN WOMEN-LED STARTUPS

On April 4-8, the Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF) with Baltic Sandbox held an event UKRAINIAN WOMEN-LED STARTUPS. It was a 5-day online event that brought together the best Ukrainian startups on one platform, where women (founders or management) play key roles.
The 15 best Ukrainian startups had the opportunity to take part in a 2-day intensive online Bootcamp from the best international and Ukrainian experts, work individually with mentors in specialized areas during free mentoring sessions, prepare for pitches, and present their products to international and Ukrainian investors as part of Women Pitch Day.

Bootcamp
On April 4-5, 8 lectures were held by the leading international and Ukrainian experts for the participants of the UKRAINIAN WOMEN-LED STARTUPS.
Bootcamp participants had the opportunity to listen to more than 12 hours of useful information about the activities of startups during the war, including:
- about the transformation of startup and pivot activities;
- opportunities to obtain funding from international partners in the new environment;
- involvement in the European startup community;
- strategy for entering new markets;
- cybersecurity of startups and businesses;
- legal support for startup activities during the war;
- investing in Ukrainian startups;
- the changes that have taken place for startups during the war, and what has remained unchanged;
- visionary, startups and innovations of the future.
The boot camp also included two panel discussions on how startups survived the war and their relocation.
At the end of the discussion, Q&A sessions were held, where everyone could get professional answers to their questions from experts.

- Halyna Vasylevska – CyberAccelerator Lead;
- Artem Afyan – Managing Partner of Juscutum;
- Petro Bilyk – Juscutum Innovation Director;
- Arkady Vershebenyuk – Venture Partner at JKR;
- Dmitry Vartanyan – Managing General Partner at SID Venture Partners;
- Mykhailo Khaletsky – Former Senior Investment Analyst at Simpact VC;
- Evgeniya Bespalova – Head of the Incubation Program of the International Startup Incubator and Accelerator Demium;
- Vadym Rohovsky – Founder of Startup School;
- Daria Mustafina – Director of the Institute of Partnership and Sustainable Development.
Mentoring
On April 6-7, 2022, the top Ukrainian and international experts held free mentoring sessions for Ukrainian startups.
Therefore, the teams of participating startups were able to work individually with their mentors in specialized areas.
In addition to the experts who spoke at the online boot camp, Oleksandr Yatsenko (Managing Partner of BRISE Capital) and Sandra Colbraich (Founding Partner, CEO of Baltic Sandbox) also joined the mentoring program.
Women Pitch Day
The event ended with an online pitching on April 8, 2022, where 15 teams of startups presented their products to international and Ukrainian investors.
