Scientists, startups, and entrepreneurs discuss innovation during SCIENCE & BUSINESS STARTUPBOOTCAMP

On 30-31 October 2021, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv hosted Science & Business StartupBootcamp, an intensive offline event for scientists, startups, and entrepreneurs in the field of science-intensive innovations and technologies. It was organized by the Ukrainian Startup Fund and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The opening ceremony was attended by Oleksiy Shkuratov and Artur Seletsky (Deputy Ministers of Education and Science), Vitaliy Lavrov (Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports), Pavlo Kartashov (the director of the Ukrainian Startup Fund), Volodymyr Bugrov (the rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv), Emanuel Volpe (DTEK Innovation Director), Yaroslav Savasteyev (Deputy Director of the European Business Association), as well as students, startups, scientists, educators, business representatives, experts, investors, and the media.

For two days, more than 100 participants were able to discuss the combination of scientific and innovative potential to find innovative solutions, increase their awareness of business, marketing, sales, investment, and innovation, visit workshops in real-time from leading experts with extensive experience in the field. innovation and investment activities, discuss their ideas with the partners of the event, in particular, SoftServe, Innovation DTEK, Business School KNU, etc., take part in Q&A sessions, during which the teams asked relevant questions, etc.

At the end of the event, participants had the opportunity to try their hand at pitches, as a result of which the selected teams became participants in professional mentoring from industry experts with significant experience in the world of startups and business and will be able to participate in demo days to present their projects to leading companies with the purpose of furthering cooperation.
