Glovo Startup Lab 2.0.
Glovo, together with the Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF), is opening the second call for teams to participate in the annual Glovo Ukraine Startup Lab competition with a cash prize for the winners.
Based on the results of the selection, the top 10 tech startups will present their projects to potential investors and key industry players on June 18 in Kyiv at the PowerUp conference organized by Glovo. The conference is dedicated to Ukraine’s economic recovery and aims to attract foreign investment in Ukrainian tech companies and startups.
The three winners, selected by the jury, will receive a cash prize of up to EUR 20 thousand and an internship at Glovo’s headquarters in Barcelona (flight and accommodation costs are covered) or online mentorship.
“Ukraine has a unique combination of talent and startup culture, and Ukrainian entrepreneurs remain a safe bet for investment, demonstrating resilience and strength during the war. At Glovo, we are committed to empowering the local tech ecosystem. Last year, we launched the annual Glovo Ukraine Startup Lab startup competition to help Ukrainian startups raise funding and go global,” comments Maryna Pavliuk, CEO of Glovo Ukraine.
Which teams can participate?
This year, the requirements for teams have increased. Glovo and USF are looking for Ukrainian tech startups that:
- Seed or Series A stages;
- have a technology readiness level (TRL) of 5 or higher;
- have traction, a customer base, and attracted investments;
- have a working prototype (for hardware startups);
- are registered and operating in Ukraine.
What awaits the winners of the final pitching:
- The first place winner will receive €20,000 and an offline internship in Barcelona.
- The second place winner will receive €10,000 and an offline internship in Barcelona.
- The third place winner will receive €5,000 and online mentoring from the Glovo team.
Application period: April 16 – May 15, 2024.
Compliance and selection of finalists: May 15 – 31, 2024.
Final pitching in Kyiv: June 18, 2024.
