STARTUP GRIND GLOBAL 2023

Startup Grind Kyiv, with the support of the USAID Competitive Economy Program and the Ukrainian Startup Fund, with the assistance of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States, invites Ukrainian startups to present their products at the international conference of startups and investors Startup Grind Global 2023, which will be held in Redwood City (California), USA from April 11 to 12, 2023.

Startup Grind Global 2023 is a global conference for entrepreneurs and investors with about 4000 participants: startups, scale-ups and investors from all over the world. The conference’s startup program is access to a community of incubators, accelerators, VCs and angel investors, as well as corporate representatives. Among the guests: Accel, Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, Index Ventures, Techstars, Walmart, LinkedIn, 23andMe, Reddit, Draper Associates, Upfront Ventures, and many others.

IF YOUR COMPANY:

• Is registered and operates in Ukraine;
• Has clients and raised investments;
• Ready to demonstrate your product and/or portfolio.

We invite you to participate in the competition!

Fifteen winners of the competition will be able to participate in Startup Grind Global 2023, which will be held in Redwood City (California) from April 11 to 12, 2023 and present their product as part of the Ukrainian delegation to the expo at the expense of the organizers. Also, the selected teams will join the delegation program, including meetings with government representatives, local accelerators, incubators, investment funds, and other technology organizations. Travel expenses for the participants of the delegation will not be covered.

To participate in the competition, you must apply by March 13, 2023.

TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT, A STARTUP MUST COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

1. Develops a new technological product or service and ready to demonstrate a working product or service.
2. Has a founder who speaks English (or an English-speaking representative).
3. Positions itself as Ukrainian in the public sector (this should be indicated on the website and on all publicly available resources, such as Crunchbase) and has a Ukrainian legal entity from which it operates.
4. The team uses technologies created in Ukraine and/or continues its R&D development in Ukraine.
5. Has a clear intention to raise investment and, a clear knowledge and justification of the amount and valuation of the round and the purpose of using the funds, and/or a reasonable plan to attract new customers and partners during Startup Grind Global 2023.
6. Has institutional readiness to attract investments: previous investment rounds from well-known angels and/or funds.
7. The company’s representatives have the opportunity to visit the United States and cover their own flight and accommodation costs.

THE PROCESS OF REVIEWING APPLICATIONS AND SELECTING WINNERS:

• Participants complete applications and upload the necessary information about their product and startup by March 13, 2023 on the Ukrainian Startup Fund portal.
• All applications are reviewed for compliance with the terms of the competition (internal compliance).
• Applications that have not been rejected based on the results of internal compliance will participate in the Pitch and present the Startup to the jury (SG Global 2023 Pitch Day, March 16, 2023).
• The best 15 companies will be selected by the jury and invited to participate in Startup Grind Global 2023 in Silicon Valley.
