EU4Business will provide 30 grants of up to €25,000 each to entrepreneurs

We are announcing the selection of projects under the Big Grants program for companies that create products and services with an innovative component and/or a focus on export expansion!
Funding will be provided to 30 small and medium-sized enterprises for a total amount of 750,000 euros (up to 25,000 euros each)!

BEFORE APPLYING, MAKE SURE YOUR COMPANY MEETS THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- registered limited liability company – LLC
- is not located and does not carry out its business activities in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine
- the company is a small and medium-sized enterprise (from 11 to 100 employees, annual income from any activity does not exceed the equivalent of EUR 10 million as of the date of application)
- at least 51% of the company is owned by individuals (citizens of Ukraine) and/or legal entities (participants and beneficiaries of which are citizens of Ukraine)
- the company is not in the process of liquidation or bankruptcy, is not bankrupt and has no tax debts
- has an innovative component in its products/services and/or the potential for rapid expansion and export
- the company does not operate and has no subsidiaries in the Russian Federation and/or Belarus and other countries included in the sanctions lists
- focused on the areas of economic activity defined by the large grants program
- meets other criteria set out in the Grant Program
Important: only one application can be submitted by one company (related companies cannot apply).
THE PROCEDURE FOR THE GRANT PROGRAM:
- The applicant should familiarize themselves with the details and criteria of the competition set forth in the Regulations.
- The applicant must submit the application form(s) by September 10, 2023, at the Ukrainian Startup Fund’s web portal at the link.
- The Ukrainian Startup Fund will conduct a preliminary assessment (compliance) of up to 60 applications for compliance with the requirements and completeness of information
- Independent experts engaged by the Ukrainian Startup Fund will evaluate the applications and interview potential winners who have been shortlisted to the top 60 pre-selected finalists.
- The Ukrainian Startup Fund will hold negotiations (interviews) with potential winners.
- The Ukrainian Startup Fund will work to confirm the information provided by applicants and sign grant agreements.
- The Ukrainian Startup Fund will sign grant agreements with 30 winners.
- The Ukrainian Startup Fund will notify all participants via email of the results of their application review.
- On behalf of the EU4Business program, the Ukrainian Startup Fund will make grant payments, monitor and analyze grantees’ interim reports

30 grants of EUR 25,000 each to support Ukrainian entrepreneurship have been made available under the EU4Business international cooperation programme “SME Recovery, Competitiveness and Internationalization“, co-financed by the European Union and the German Government and implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ukrainian online public service portal Diia, the Ukrainian national project for entrepreneurship and export development “Diia.Business” and the Ukrainian state institution “Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development“]. The implementing partner of the initiative is the Ukrainian Startup Fund.
