€750,000 to support businesses: results of the grant competition by EU4Business

With funding from the European Union and the German government as part of the EU4Business program, 30 Ukrainian companies will receive grants—up to €25,000 each—to develop their innovative products and services and/or focus on export. The winners of the grant competition are:

  1. LLC “KMC Hydraulics” – production of hydraulic cylinders for various branches of mechanical engineering, hydraulic systems, and their components (Lviv).
  2. LLC “Explosion” – using genetic engineering methods to create producers of new antibiotics and agrochemical products (Lviv). 
  3. LLC “Ammolit Plus” – full cycle of creating products from polymers and metals (Kharkiv). 
  4. LLC “Ekta-Prom” – development and production of LED screens, control systems, and visual business solutions using LED technology (Zhytomyr). 
  5. LLC “Termion-Plus” – processing of safe mixed plastic waste into alternative energy sources using innovative pyrolysis technology (Malyn, Zhytomyr region). 
  6. LLC “Frendt” – distribution of innovative digital equipment for agricultural machinery, enabling the implementation of precision farming projects (Vinnytsia).
  7.  LLC “RalkoTechnik” – providing a full range of refrigeration services: design, supply, installation, and maintenance of equipment (Mykolaiv). 
  8. LLC “BELTIMPORT” – distribution and production of drive and conveyor elements (Kyiv). 
  9. LLC “SumiKamVol” – production of combed slivers (tops) – semi-finished products for yarn production, non-woven materials from natural and synthetic fibers for textile and construction purposes (Sumy). 
  10. LLC “Synthesis” – production of products for women’s health and prevention of preterm births (Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia region). 
  11. LLC “Replast” – manufacturing of plastic products through injection molding, extrusion, and 3D printing (Pustomyty, Lviv region). 
  12. LLC “Rekach Ukraine” – leading supplier in the market of equipment, technologies, and consumables for diagnostics and surgery in Ukraine (Kyiv). 
  13. LLC “Mikrol” – design, production, and sale of various types of devices and equipment for automation of industrial processes (Khryplyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region). 
  14. LLC “Maytek Plus” – production of electronic devices (controllers, sensors, readers, etc.) and software for energy-saving systems (Vinnytsia). 
  15. LLC “Manezh-Decor” – production of sun protection systems that enhance energy efficiency in buildings and save electricity (Cherkasy). 
  16. LLC “Plusmed Medical Center” – reproductive medicine with modern equipment (Uzhhorod, Zakarpattia region). 
  17. LLC “Lemberg Battery” – recycling of old car batteries with subsequent production of branded lead and new batteries (Novy Yar, Lviv region). 
  18. LLC “LeoGEN Scientific Medical Genetic Center” – conducting unique molecular genetic and cytogenetic studies (Lviv). 
  19. LLC “Framiore” – development and creation of protective gear for military personnel based on sustainability and conscious production principles (Ivano-Frankivsk). 
  20. LLC “EcoService Group” – providing household waste removal services in Kyiv and manufacturing metal containers for waste transportation (Horenka village, Kyiv region). 
  21. LLC “SEM Technology” – an engineering and manufacturing company with proven experience in eco-packaging production line solutions (Sambir, Lviv region).
  22. LLC “Prana Platinum” – development and production of modern ventilation systems (Lviv). 
  23. LLC “Alliance Stick” – production of stick-shaped food products and packaging in portion packs – stick (Stare Selo village, Kyiv region). 
  24. LLC “Mikomed” – providing medical services in the field of modern X-ray diagnostics (Rivne). 
  25. LLC “Happy Nation” – a new-format family medicine clinic “close to home,” with branches located in densely populated urban areas (Kyiv). 
  26. LLC “FIX Manufacturing and Design Association” – production of street furniture, street lighting, and other urban improvement elements (Lviv). 
  27. LLC “Professor S.Khmil’s Clinic in Ternopil” – multidisciplinary medical center specializing in reproductive medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pregnancy management, and ultrasound diagnostics (Ternopil). 
  28. LLC “Zero Trans Plus” – transportation services, including the transport of fuel materials (Kyiv). 
  29. LLC “TikPak” – packaging of bulk food products and development of packaging for other brands (Ostriv village, Ternopil region). 
  30. LLC “Gunia Project” – production of ceramics, blown glass products, carpets, jewelry, accessories, and clothing elements (Kyiv).

The winning companies are geographically located in 12 regions of Ukraine, with 27% of the companies being founded or led by women.

The further procedure for disbursing the grant funds stipulates that each grant will be paid in three stages:

  1. The first tranche of 60% is expected to be disbursed by January 10.
  2. The next tranche of 30% will be paid after the reports on the use of the first tranche are approved.
  3. The final tranche of 10% will be disbursed after the Fund approves the reports on the used funds, the Fund’s reports to GIZ are accepted, and GIZ experts conduct an audit of the project.

Grant recipients must utilize the grant funds by March 31, 2024, and immediately report on the successful completion of their grant projects.
