The winners of the competitive selection of startup schools – incubators – accelerators have been announced
We are pleased to announce the winners of the competitive selection of startup schools – incubators – accelerators organised by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. This project aims to create a network of innovative platforms based on HEIs and research institutions that will facilitate the launch and scaling of startups.
The project to create a network of startup schools is being implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as the main coordinator and the Innovation Development Fund as the co-coordinator for the interaction of startup schools.
The winners are:
- National Aviation University
- Vinnytsia National Technical University
- Kyiv Academic University
- Sumy State University
- Dnipro University of Technology
- Odesa Polytechnic National University
These institutions will receive funding to develop their startup schools for the period 2024-2026.
The main goals of the startup school network:
- Innovation ecosystem: Creating an infrastructure that supports the development of startups, commercialisation of scientific research, and business networking.
- Financial and expert support: The winners will receive resources for the development of startup schools, including payment for services (financial, legal, consulting) and the purchase of necessary equipment.
- Training and consultations: Support for startups at all stages of development, including assistance with business modelling, investor search and market entry.
Key functions of startup schools:
- Searching for innovative ideas and supporting their implementation.
- Providing infrastructure and scientific and technical resources.
- Organising presentations for investors and potential partners.
- Conducting educational events aimed at developing the startup ecosystem.
The Fund supports startup schools by providing expert assistance and facilitates cooperation between universities, businesses and investors for the successful implementation of innovative projects.
Startup schools that were established on the basis of HEIs and research institutions and want to become part of the national network of startup schools and get support from the leaders of the innovation ecosystem have the opportunity to fill out the application form!
