November 11 – Pitch Day of Ukrainian startups to participate in the International Consumer Electronics Show 2023 (CES)

On Friday, November 11, at 5:00 p.m., the Pitch Day of Ukrainian startups will be held to participate in the largest technology conference in the world – International Consumer Electronics Show 2023 (CES)

Owned by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), CES is a key global event for the technology ecosystem. Traditionally, the conference is held in Las Vegas. More than 100,000 visitors take part in the event every year. It is a global arena for innovation, where participants and guests get to know breakthrough technologies, global brands do business, and the boldest innovators take the stage. The event covers all aspects of the technology sector and brings together the world’s biggest brands with innovators, decision makers, media, influencers, visionaries and potential customers at the world’s most influential technology event.

Thanks to the common efforts of the Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF) with the USAID Competitive Economy Program, Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF), UVCA – Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, GIST Net and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ukrainian delegation will also be represented at CES 2023 in Las Vegas (USA) on January 5-8, 2023.

In general, about 60 applications for participation in the selection at CES 2023 were received from Ukrainian startups.

Based on the results of compliance, 21 teams will compete at CES 2023 Pitch Day for a chance to become part of the Ukrainian delegation and present their innovative projects on the international stage:

  • i3 Engineering – the complete solution for Smart Home projects and business’s automation, which consists of controllers mounted on a DIN-rail, software and mobile application.
  • WheelKeep – the invisible security system that helps cycling enthusiasts to protect their bikes from thefts and enjoy the freedom of everyday cycling. It includes a smart hardware device and a mobile application. 
  • MISU – the mobile app & smart device which can predict any critical conditions with heart diseases before they will happen. 
  • Knopka – the advanced nurse call system for patient care automation on hospital beds.
  • Rekavа – the Ukrainian brand of biodegradable products made from reused coffee grounds. The startup’s products include rekava cups, rekava pots, and rekava candles.
  • Releaf Paper – the world first manufacturer of paper packaging made from fallen leaves. 
  • AssayMe – the personal Wellness & Health Assistant that enables users to monitor health conditions and prevent potential medical problems through a simple, at-home, self-administered urine test. 
  • ShinyClub – the gadget and the service that helps people stay productive. Users join into groups by interests to work together. They share their progress and see in real-time who else is focusing.
  • METAL-TIME INC. – the moving mechanical model of Ukrainian aviation models such as MRIYA AN-225 etc. with patented technologies.
  • efarm.pro  – the IOT navigation field assistant for agricultural work that allows you to save resources and work more accurately.
  • MELT WATER CLUB – the technical solution for obtaining premium drinking water, thanks to the innovative Freezing Process technology.
  • NIR separator – the technology which allows to separate mixtures of polymers that are very similar in particle size distribution, physical characteristics and color and to make a profit from its sale after sorting.
  • Corner – the modern, frictionless way to set up a renovation with a pre-designed kitchen entirely online.
  • ONYX – the glass heated towel rail for delicate drying of towels, textiles and it is a full-fledged heating device for the bathroom.
  • LibraDataShelf – the software and hardware product for the complex automation implementation of the control processes and replenishment of goods on the shelves of the retail network.
  • G-MAK –  the innovative security device equipped with a number of unique technological solutions that can physically stop or disorient an intruder.
  • SOLAR PLEX – the service for upgrading new and already installed conventional solar (PV) panels into hybrid (PVT) ones.
  • OptySun – the technology of water purification and disinfection in any conditions.
  • InfusionLight  – the device for determining the speed of infusion therapy and remote monitoring of this process.
  • SmartZavod – the world first fully automated hybrid 3D-printer, that supports auto changing of 9 totally different tools for professional printing and has the continuous printing function for advanced and engineering materials. 
  • Nanit Robot – the STEM Robotics education solution with a high engineering perspective and a creative learning process for kids and adults. 

Startups will be evaluated by:

  • Jaroslawa Johnson – President and CEO of Western NIS Enterprise Fund.
  • Andrii Sorokhan – Venture Lead at UVentures.
  • Valerii Dobrovolskyi – Expert of the USAID Competitive Economy Program. 
  • Nataliia Petrova – Project Manager, Office of Economic Growth, USAID.
  • Dmytro Kuzmenko – CEO of Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association.
  • Nataliia Denikieieva – Director of the IT Development Directorate of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

According to the results of CES Pitch Day, the 12 best startups will be able to present their products at CES 2023.

The winners of the contest will be eligible for CES 2023 exhibit fee waiver and partial compensation of travel and accommodation costs and will be able to exhibit their products in Eureka Park as part of Ukraine Startup pavilion.
