The First International Conference “Open Science and Innovation in Ukraine 2022” was held with the participation of representatives of the Ukrainian Startup Fund

On October 27-28, the First International Conference “Open Science and Innovations in Ukraine 2022” (in online format) was held, timed to the International Open Access Week 2022.
The conference was organized by the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine under the aegis of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The purpose of the conference was to bring together leading scientists and experts from Ukraine and other countries on one platform to discuss urgent issues regarding ways to implement the best practices of open science and innovation in Ukraine in accordance with international standards.
During the conference, 46 reports were presented by speakers from Ukraine and other countries: Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, the United States of America, Slovakia, Croatia, etc.
The topics of the reports were devoted to issues of open access to research infrastructures, current trends in scientific research assessment practices, open innovation during military operations, and the action plan for the country’s post-war recovery period.
Pavlo Kartashov, director of the USF, also spoke at the conference and presented the Fund’s work and talked about the opportunities for Ukrainian scientists. Other USF project managers also gave presentations.
