Get Financial Confidence: finance for founders

Well, look no further. This introductory workshop is a no jargon no-nonsense boot camp to get your financial management skills up to scratch. You don’t need to requalify as an accountant!

Starting with the basics, you’ll learn how to build a basic financial model, how to price your goods and services, managing your cash flow and understanding your profit and losses.

With lots of practical tips, tools, and tricks, you will walk away feeling confident and in control of your company’s finances.

This workshop will be suitable for businesses in any sector including pre-startups, startups and existing businesses of all sizes in the UK.

About the facilitator: Letitia Seglah

Letitia Seglah is an experienced banker, business adviser and trainer with specialist skills in managing finances and fundraising and investment readiness. Letitia has an excellent track record helping diverse founders and hard to reach audiences to gain the confidence to build, grow and scale a successful business.

Letitia Seglah is an ex-investment banker with 15 years of experience in the city and is now the chief collaborator at Startup Vault. She has since gone on to start and exit several businesses and consulted 300+ startups and SMEs. Letitia started her career with a social science degree, taking her on a journey from zero to being financially competent. Through practical and accessible workshops, Letitia helps founders to gain the financial confidence to build, scale and grow successful businesses.

This event will be delivered by the Startup Vault and hosted by the University of Greenwich.

This event is part of our regular series of events to be held on Zoom, bringing together multidisciplinary researchers from the University, experienced industry practitioners and companies, to discover new opportunities and connect with potential partners.

At each Innovation workshop, we will invite one or two keynote speakers to give a presentation on a topic that will help you learn some practical skills and tips that you can apply directly in your business operation.
