Funding and Support for Startups in India
One of the key challenges for Startups is accessing low-cost funds. On the other side, the government is doing a lot of activities to promote the startup ecosystem in India. For example, to provide funding support to entities registered as startups under Startup India Scheme under DIPP, the Government has set up a fund with an initial corpus of INR 2,500 crore and a total corpus of INR 10,000 crore over a period of 4 years (i.e. INR 2,500 crore per year).
The government of India is widely focusing on startup ecosystems in India, and for this, the government has been bringing in new programs, schemes, policies, and opportunities for helping startups.
This event will try to shed some light on such government initiatives to help startups.
