Workshop “Action planning for deep technologies and digital innovations in the energy transition in Ukraine” was held within the Wennovate project
On June 26, 2024, the Wennovate project hosted a workshop on “Action Planning for Deep Technologies and Digital Innovation in the Energy Transition in Ukraine”.
During the event, EU plans for the digitalization of energy systems were presented, in particular, the views of the European Commission on this issue (Achilles Hannoset, DG ENER, European Commission). The Ukrainian national digital innovation strategies were presented by Mr. Volodymyr Nochvay, Head of the Digital Innovation Hub NOSC-UA DIH. At the same time, special attention was paid to the presentation of the Wennovate research results on current energy innovation ecosystems and their discussion by the participants of the event.
Practical advice and recommendations of the participants of the event, which were discussed by working groups, were also included in the report:
Development of technological infrastructure and regulatory changes.
New financial instruments for the energy transition.
Education, awareness and communication of the innovative energy program.
It is worth noting that the second Wennovate workshop became a fruitful basis for the start of direct.
We would like to inform you that on June 28 at 11:00 a.m., the Ukrainian Startup Fund will launch a working group on Communications and Networking.
The working group will address the issues of deepening interaction and establishing a sustainable dialogue between various stakeholders of innovation ecosystems in the energy sector, increasing the involvement of underrepresented stakeholder groups in the exchange of knowledge, opinions and promising ideas for a sustainable energy transition.
The working group will work on ways to address the formation of expert networks, communities of practice, knowledge bases, technology platforms, development of foresight, etc. to ensure innovative energy development.

The working groups will formulate proposals for the roadmap for the development of innovative ecosystems in the form of a description of measures/projects/activities according to the following structure:
- implementation perspective (short-term – 1-3 years, medium-term – 3-5 years, long-term – more than 5 years);
- description of actions – what measures and activities should be implemented;
- stakeholders – who will benefit from the implementation of the plan and what benefits, who may potentially resist;
- implementers – the management team and organizations that may be involved in the implementation of the planned activities;
- results/impact, indicators and data sources for measuring performance;
- stages of implementation and milestones;
- implementation costs;
- sources of funding.
