Open Call for DemTech startups: Ukrainian Startup Fund, YEP and Alliance of Democracies invite you to participate!
The Ukrainian Startup Fund, together with YEP and the Danish organisation Alliance of Democracies, is launching an open call for startups working in democratic technologies (DemTech). This unique opportunity aims to support innovative solutions that will help respond to the current challenges facing Ukrainian democracy.
About the initiative
Now, more than ever, it is important to support the development of technologies that strengthen democratic processes in Ukraine. This open call is aimed at startups that develop solutions to combat disinformation and increase citizen participation in social and political processes. This programme offers teams unique opportunities to develop their projects, including receiving a fellowship and participating in the Copenhagen Democracy Summit in May 2025.
Copenhagen Democracy Summit annually brings together leaders, activists, and experts to discuss strategies to protect democracy, counter authoritarianism and promote new solutions to current challenges.
The Alliance of Democracies’ Democracy Tech Entrepreneur Fellowship supports innovators creating technology solutions to strengthen democracy by providing them with resources, mentorship, and a global network to develop innovative projects.

- Democracy Changers Bootcamp & Pitching
If you already have a solution with a prototype (or need a little time to create it), this is your chance to make a name for yourself! Apply and get the opportunity to compete for a fellowship for project development.
On September 13, the top 10 teams from the open call will receive additional training in Kyiv to help them prepare for the pitch.

The Democracy Tech Entrepreneur Fellowship Launch Event
For those interested in democratic technologies, we have prepared a special event — The Democracy Tech Entrepreneur Fellowship Launch Event. This day will be dedicated to education and innovation in democratic technologies.
What to Expect:
- Panel discussions on the latest trends and challenges in the field of democratic technologies from leading experts.
- Pitches by youth startups offering innovative solutions to strengthen democratic processes. Pitching will be held in English.
- Networking with like-minded people, industry leaders, and potential partners.
