WEB SUMMIT LISBON 2023

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine together with the Ukrainian Startup Fund and the NGO “Ukrainian Hub” with the strong support of the USAID Program “Competitive Economy of Ukraine” and other partners: WNISEF, UNIT.City, ROOSH, GENESIS, Flyer One Ventures and UACC invite Ukrainian startups and scaleups to compete for a chance to be part of the national delegation at Web Summit 2023 and present the innovative potential of the country on the international stage!

This autumn, on 13-16 November, almost 100,000 innovators and companies reimagining the world’s tech industry will gather in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.

Web Summit is the world’s largest technological event, which has been filling the Portuguese capital with an atmosphere of innovation, technology and ideas for several years in a row. More than 160 countries and 1,000 speakers, 2,300 promising startups and more than 1,000 of the most influential investors will join together to set IT trends for the years ahead. Web Summit events annually gather partners with world-famous names, including Google, AWS, Intel, EIC, Binance, Microsoft, etc.

The organizers of the delegation provide a ticket for one or two representatives from each startup, which includes participation in the Web Summit 2023 program and and a stand, a pitch in the Ukrainian pavilion, as well as participation of the selected teams in the delegation’s activities, meetings with government officials, international accelerators, incubators, investment funds and other organizations in the field of technology.

Travel costs for delegation members are not covered.

The application deadline is 25 August 2023.
Ukrainian scaleups and startups are invited to participate in the selection, which must meet the following criteria:

THE SСALEUP MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

• Have from 10K MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue);
• Have up to 250 employees;
• Be registered and operate in Ukraine, positioning itself as Ukrainian (this should be indicated on the website and on all public resources such as Crunchbase);
• Be prepared to cover the costs of travel to the conference location and accommodation during the conference.

THE STARTUP MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

• Be at the Seed or Series A stage;
• Have traction, customers and/or involved investments;
• Be registered and operate in Ukraine, positioning itself as Ukrainian (this should be indicated on the website and on all public resources such as Crunchbase);
• Be prepared to cover the costs of travel to the conference location and accommodation during the conference.

Based on the results of the selection, 8 scaleups and 16 startups will be part of the national Ukrainian delegation at the Web Summit 2023, which will present its own developments and the entire technological sector of Ukraine.

SELECTION STAGES:

1. Filling out an application about your product / service;
2. Checking for compliance with the terms of the competition;
3. Participation in the Pitch and presentation of the startup to the jury (4 September 2023);
4. Selection of 24 teams based on the results of the jury’s evaluation and invitation to join the Ukrainian delegation to Web Summit 2023.
