A documentary film about the Tech-ecosystem of Ukraine in wartime was released
A documentary film about the Tech-ecosystem of Ukraine during the war – Made with Bravery: Тhe Story of Ukrainian Startup Resilience – was released. This is a true story of the sustainability of an innovative ecosystem, which was filmed by the famous Canadian producers Dan Herman and Chase Kaiser.
At the invitation of the Ukrainian Startup Fund, a delegation from Canada visited Ukraine to film the Ukrainian technological ecosystem during the war, in order to later present to an international audience a documentary film about the sustainability of our ecosystem during the war.
Talented producers Dan German and Chase Kaiser visited Kyiv and Lviv, took part in the IT Arena & Startup Competition, talked with founders of Ukrainian startups and key stakeholders of the innovation ecosystem.
The Ukrainian case is truly unique in the world. And this applies to all areas of life. Including the ecosystem of startups, which demonstrated tremendous resilience during the 8 months of the war.
Despite the forced necessity to work from bomb shelters, relocation of teams, disruption of contracts and other problems caused by the war, Ukrainian startups adapted to the new conditions of wartime. And if in the first days of the war the No. 1 task was to survive, now we can even talk about success.
The visit of the Canadian delegation to Ukraine was a real opportunity for the guests to see for themselves that the Ukrainian technology community has a sufficient reserve of stability, continues to work, develop and confidently moves forward – to victory.
From cafes to bomb shelters. From life-work balance to war-work balance. How did the Ukrainian startup ecosystem respond to a full-scale Russian invasion? How was the process of adaptation to life in wartime? But how the lessons of the war will help Ukraine to reach new heights in the field of innovation and technology.
