The Law and Your Startup
It’s no surprise that using lawyers can be expensive but resolving legal issues is often even more expensive. In this session, we will take you through key legal concepts and common pitfalls for startups when it comes to legal issues and considerations. You will have the opportunity to submit your challenges beforehand and we will attempt to cover as many of these in the session. Some of the areas that we anticipate covering include, company law, contracts, employment law and intellectual property.
Please be aware that we are unable to offer legal advice and none of the content of this workshop is intended to be legal advice. The aim of this workshop is to educate you on some legal concepts so that you are better equipped to prevent any issues, spot potential issues and to understand when you may need external support.
Facilitated by Claudine Adeyemi, UK Black Tech.
The session will take place via Zoom video call and you can join via phone, tablet or computer. A link will be sent out to you once you have registered through eventbrite.
