Scott Mackin is an angel investor recognised by Sifted as one of the most active angel investors in the UK in 2020. He has a portfolio of over 20 investments, all but three of which have women founders or co-founders. He actively engages (when asked!) with founders in his portfolio to help them in their entrepreneurial journey to build successful businesses. Scott’s sector focus has been on companies with sustainability at their core but also has expanded broadly into B2B, SaaS and D2C. He has a professional background in clean energy and private equity.
Katie Kim, Investor at Forward Partners.
Katie is an investor with Forward Partners. She came from Vanedge Capital, a VC investing in Series A companies globally. Their sector focuses include machine learning & AI, cloud computing, SaaS, digital media and cyber security. At Vanedge, Katie was responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence and portfolio company management.
Forward Partners invest from day zero through to Series A, focusing primarily on applied AI, marketplaces and e-commerce. Their purpose-built startup studio of in-house engineers, designers, marketers, and recruiters are on-hand to practically support our companies to design, build and grow.
