After winning the best accelerator of the year award by Geektime, Microsoft for Startups, and TechForGood have partnered again to work with and support the most impactful AI startups in Israel.

Join us in this pre-program event to hear about the 2021 application and program, insights from our alumni, and a unique fireside chat between investor, Eden Shochat, and Founder, Ami Daniel: showcasing the connection between a successful investment strategy to an impact-oriented startup culture.

Speaker Bios:

Eden Shochat:

Eden is an Equal Partner at Aleph. Eden’s current investments and boards include JoyTunes, Anodot, Fabric (formerly Commonsense Robotics), Windward, LawGeex, and Panorays. Prior to Aleph, Eden was a General Partner at Genesis Partners, where he became the youngest partner at a venture capital firm in Israel and led its investments in Riskified, Monday.com, and JoyTunes. A serial entrepreneur, Eden also co-founded face.com, the global leader in massive, web-scale face recognition in social networks, which was acquired by Facebook in 2012. He was also co-founder and CTO of Aternity, later acquired by Riverbed (Nasdaq: RVBD), where he led the development of its dominant user experience monitoring platform. Passionate about giving back, Eden founded The Junction, Israel’s leading pre-seed program for startups, co-founded the annual Geekcon conference to encourage creativity and innovation, and teaches entrepreneurship at the IDC (Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya) Zell Entrepreneurship Progam.

Ami Daniel:

For two decades, Ami has harnessed innovation and a relentless focus on driving transformative change to build successful organizations in both the nonprofit and private sectors. A seven-year veteran of the Israeli Navy – where he developed his passion for the sea – Ami co-founded Windward in 2010 with the mission of bringing Predictive Intelligence to the maritime ecosystem. Over the past decade, the company has partnered with governments, the United Nations, Frontex, financial institutions, and energy companies to power operational readiness and future-forward decisions. Prior to co-founding Windward, Ami led a community center aimed at promoting coexistence, and an NGO to inspire and engage youth at risk. The recipient of a BA in Law & Business from Tel Aviv University, Ami has won numerous accolades over the course of his career, including the Ilan Ramon Award for Excellence and the Israeli President’s Award for Social Good

Raz Bachar:

Raz Bachar is the Global Lead for Emerging Technologies & Managing Director – Israel at Microsoft For Startups. He is a business development professional and strategist, in generating growth for tech services and products. Before Microsoft, Raz built and drove the growth of AWS across several startup ecosystems in Europe, Middle-East, and Africa through strategic planning, community building, and partnerships with VCs and accelerators.

Omri Boral:

Omri Boral is a Co/Founder and CEO at TechForGood, responsible for business development, partnerships management, content development, and operations. Omri has been a serial entrepreneur for the past 12 years. Prior to that, she served as an economist at the Ministry of Finance. Omri serves on the boards of several organizations: World Summit Awards, Alterna, and 2B Friendly. She is a mentor and international speaker on innovation, technology and entrepreneurship, and impact methodologies. Omri is a Ph.D. candidate, researching hybrid financial instruments and impact investment models. She holds a B.A. in Political Science, Philosophy & Economy from the Hebrew University (Cum Laude)
