The Non-Technical Founder’s Introduction To Tech

Do you have an idea for an app or a web-based business, but no idea how to build it? In this session you will get an overview of the basic concepts you need to run or launch a tech startup as a non-technical founder from someone who has done it themselves.

In this training, you will get:

  • Intro to product management
  • Difference between back end and front-end development
  • User experience design and UX testing
  • Introduction to analytics

About the presenter:

Sophia Matveeva is the founder of Enty, a retail tech platform that connects consumers, stylists and brands. The company won App of the Day by Mashable, and Grazia named Enty one of the ‘world’s best fashion tech startups’. Sophia also runs the Tech For Non-Techies education community.

Sophia has contributed to the Financial Times, The Guardian and Forbes on entrepreneurship and technology, and has guest lectured at Chicago Booth and London Business School.

She has also advised Chicago Booth’s New Venture Challenge and the Microsoft x London College of Fashion incubator.

Sophia advises startups, investors and corporates on technology and go to market strategy, and consumer behaviour.

She holds an MBA from Chicago Booth, and a BSc (Hons) in Politics from Bristol.
